TRANSPORT BAGS

By Stella Reid

The images below show the transport bags we use.

This is Rupert at Healesville. Because the bags opens on all sides it is easier to exam the injury and sedate them, as I do not sedate. before transport.

Details for Transport Pouches:

The transport bags are made from heavy-duty, non transparent shade cloth (double thickness). Lined at the top with heavy-duty felt for about half a metre. Animals then cannot see through the the bag, but they can breathe easily. I also use the bag as a stretcher.

Large 170cm x 100cm or 1700mm x 1000mm
Med Bag 145cm x 80cm or 1450mm x 800mm

Velcro is used on 4 sides, zips have come undone after 6 months use. We tried industrial zips, they did work for a short time. As yet the Velcro has not let us down.
